Maria Cioflan is an Associate with a strong focus on labor and employment law, advising both Romanian and international clients across a broad range of industries on matters such as employment-related due diligence in corporate transactions, reorganization processes, projects involving the protection of employees' rights in the event of transfers of undertakings (TUPE), disciplinary investigations, collective negotiations, cross-border secondment arrangements, as well as workplace discrimination and harassment issues.

Maria has also provided legal assistance in commercial matters, especially in reviewing and drafting various types of commercial agreements (e.g., exclusive distribution agreements, lease agreements, sale-purchase agreements, debt assignment agreements etc.), assisting clients during negotiations and in managing potential disputes related to the agreements, as well as drafting legal opinions and memos.

Maria has been instrumental in providing legal support on a variety of complex projects handled by the Employment team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality guidance in accordance with both Romanian and EU legislation. Her most recent notable projects include advising a global multi-technology leader in the aerospace industry and the Romanian subsidiary of a leading global provider of digital procurement solutions.
